Leclerc says Ferrari needs more upgrades after Singapore second place

Charles Leclerc finished second for Ferrari at the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, behind Max Verstappen of Red Bull.

Leclerc started alongside Verstappen on the front row and challenged him early in the race.

A safety car led Ferrari to use a different strategy from Red Bull, and Leclerc said pushing hard later increased tyre wear.

He finished ahead of Mercedes rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who was third.

Ferrari had added small new parts to its car, but Leclerc said the team still needs more upgrades to match Red Bull's pace.

The result brought Ferrari points, but Leclerc said it did not mean the performance gap was gone.

Six races remain, with the Circuit of the Americas next on the schedule.
