Marc Marquez calls sprint podium demands “inhumane” in Indonesian heat

Marc Marquez won the sprint race in Indonesia.

He said standing on the podium in his racing suit in the intense heat was exhausting and could affect his performance the next day.

He also said riders had been told to attend a 10-minute hero walk on Sunday.

Marquez’s comments add to his calls for MotoGP organisers to limit riders’ extra promotional duties.
