Writer says leaked Fitbit Edge design puts them off buying it
A writer says they will skip the rumored Fitbit Edge and use the $99 Fitbit Air instead.
The Fitbit Edge has not been officially confirmed by Google, but leaked images and specifications suggest it would be a fitness smartwatch.
It is expected to have a pill-shaped screen, a few apps and battery life and fitness features similar to the Fitbit Air.
Its rumored price is between $149 and $200, placing it between a basic fitness tracker and a more expensive smartwatch.
The writer says the Fitbit Air is light and subtle enough to wear all day, while the Edge does not look good enough for everyday use.
They have also preordered a Pebble Round 2, which they prefer for its watch-like style.
The account does not say when Google might confirm or release the Fitbit Edge.
Android Police writer Jon Gilbert says he will not buy the rumored Fitbit Edge because he dislikes its leaked design.

Gilbert says he chose the $99 Fitbit Air for unobtrusive, continuous health tracking.
