Indonesia Orders 250,000-Ton Feed Corn Reserve for Critical Months

Indonesia may face pressure on corn supplies from September through December.

The agriculture minister told Bulog, the state logistics agency, to keep 250,000 tons of feed corn in reserve to support poultry farmers.

The government is also providing free seeds for 20,000 hectares and plans to supply tractors.

Bulog will buy harvests from supported farms if there is more corn than the market needs.
