Verstappen takes Singapore GP pole as Russell faces grid penalty

Max Verstappen qualified fastest for the 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix and will start from pole position.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton qualified second and third for Ferrari.

Kimi Antonelli was fourth for Mercedes, while Lando Norris was fifth for McLaren.

Qualifying sets the starting order for the Grand Prix.

George Russell qualified sixth, but he will serve a grid penalty for engine changes and start from the back of the grid.

Oscar Piastri, who qualified seventh, is therefore set to start alongside his McLaren teammate Norris.

The race grid will also include Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad in ninth and tenth, while Isack Hadjar recorded no qualifying time.
