Pawan Kalyan Announces Rs 1,500 Crore Pithapuram Development Push
Pawan Kalyan said Pithapuram will receive many new development projects.
The projects are expected to cost about Rs 1,500 crore.
New and improved roads are a major part of the plan.
Villages and towns will also get better drinking-water facilities.
Pithapuram is planned to receive underground drainage and waste treatment systems.
A wall will be built along the Uppada coast to help protect it from erosion.
Fishermen and women’s self-help groups have also received support.
Pawan Kalyan said a camp office would be established in Pithapuram within three to four months.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said development works worth Rs 1,500 crore were launched or underway in Pithapuram constituency.
More than Rs 200 crore has been spent on roads, with over 600 roads completed and 202 additional roads inaugurated.
Village drinking-water projects worth about Rs 320 crore and municipal works worth around Rs 140 crore are being implemented.
An underground drainage system, sewage and waste treatment facilities, and public toilets are planned for Pithapuram.
The projects also include a Rs 323-crore coastal protection wall, a Rs 118-crore road overbridge, healthcare improvements and support for fishermen and women’s self-help groups.
