Tirupati to Revamp Three Water Bodies With Rs 1.30 Crore
Three water bodies in Tirupati district are going to be improved.
The project will cost Rs 1.30 crore.
The money comes from a government watershed development fund.
Workers are widening the edges of the water bodies and making walking paths.
Benches and solar lights will be added for visitors.
Children will get parks with play equipment.
Open gyms will also be built for public health and recreation.
The Collector said the work is progressing quickly and asked people to use the facilities when they open.
Three traditional water bodies in Tirupati district will be renovated and beautified.
The State Level Sanctioning Committee approved the works under the Watershed Development Component of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana 2.0.
Nandigunta Cheruvu received Rs 43.20 lakh, Chennai Gunta Cheruvu Rs 41.02 lakh, and Thukivakam Chinna Cheruvu Rs 45.80 lakh.
Planned improvements include widened tank bunds, walking tracks, benches, and solar lights.
Children’s parks and open gyms will also be developed, with works expected to be completed soon.
