Himachal Reduces Shimla Road Permit Fees
The Himachal Pradesh government has lowered the fees for permits that allow private vehicles to use certain roads in Shimla.
Before this change, the fees were very high, and lawyers had protested against them.
Now, the government has reduced the annual fees and also introduced a six-month permit option.
This change comes after the government had earlier increased the fees, which caused a lot of protests from lawyers who said the new rules made it hard for them to get to work.
The government hopes this new plan will make things easier for everyone.
Himachal Pradesh government reduced permit fees for private vehicles on Shimla’s sealed and restricted roads.
Annual permit fees for sealed roads decreased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 8,000.
Annual permit fees for restricted roads decreased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 3,000.
Introduced six-month permits with fees of Rs 4,500 for sealed roads and Rs 2,000 for restricted roads.
