Truck Crash Kills Two Kanwariyas, Injures Three in Uttar Pradesh
A truck crashed into a tractor-trolley in Uttar Pradesh.
The trolley was carrying Hindu devotees called kanwariyas.
They had collected water from the Ganga and were traveling back home.
Police said two people died at the scene.
Three others were hurt and taken to a hospital.
The crash happened at Navada Mod in Shahjahanpur district.
The truck overturned, and the trolley fell into a deep ditch.
The devotees were taking part in the Kanwar Yatra during the holy month of Savan.
Two kanwariyas, Guddu, 25, and Aman, 22, died at the scene, police said.
Three other people were injured and taken to Government Medical College.
About 15 devotees from Bamyan village were traveling in the tractor-trolley.
The group was returning from Kachla Ghat after collecting water from the Ganga.
The crash at Navada Mod caused the truck to overturn and the tractor-trolley to fall into a deep ditch.
