Vande Bharat Sleeper via Anantapur Soon, Says Railway Minister Vaishnaw
A politician from a place called Anantapur went to New Delhi to talk to the minister in charge of trains in India.
His name is Ashwini Vaishnaw, and he is the country's Railway Minister.
The politician, Mr. Ambica Lakshminarayana, asked for better train service for the people living in his area.
He wanted a special fast train, called the Vande Bharat Sleeper, to stop in Anantapur.
The minister said yes, and the train could start going through Anantapur in October.
The government has also given lots of money to build new railway tracks between two cities, Guntakal and Ballari.
The politician asked for some trains to run every day instead of only a few days a week.
He also asked for trains to stop at more stations and for stations to be made nicer and safer.
The minister promised to look carefully at all the requests.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw indicated that the Visakhapatnam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper train could operate via Anantapur starting in October.
Anantapur MP Ambica Lakshminarayana met Vaishnaw in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum on long-pending railway demands.
The Centre sanctioned Rs 3,500 crore for constructing the 3rd and 4th railway lines between Guntakal and Ballari.
The MP requested daily services for the Kondaveedu Express and Machilipatnam–Yesvantpur trains, plus a new morning Guntakal–Bengaluru Intercity Express.
Demands also included extra stoppages at five stations, station modernization, time revisions, and road underpasses and flyovers.
