Titwala Rail Block Brings Nightly Mumbai Local Cancellations
Central Railway is doing construction work near Titwala.
The work will happen at night for 15 days.
During the first few nights, trains will stop running between Titwala and Kasara for several hours.
Some late-night local trains will be cancelled.
Other trains will end at places such as Thane, Kalyan, or Asangaon instead of their usual stations.
Some trains from Titwala will begin at Asangaon.
A few long-distance trains will also be delayed or held at nearby stations.
Railway officials say the work is needed to improve safety and extend Titwala’s platform for longer trains.

Central Railway will conduct a 15-day nightly traffic and power block at Titwala from August 28-29 through September 11-12, 2026.
The first phase runs from 11:30 p.m. to 5:10 a.m. between Kalyan and Vasind from August 28-29 through September 1-2.
Suburban services between Titwala and Kasara will be unavailable during the block, with several late-night trains cancelled or short-terminated.
From August 29-30, Titwala-bound services will extend to Asangaon, while Titwala-originating trains will instead begin at Asangaon.
Several long-distance trains will be regulated, delayed by 10 to 20 minutes, diverted, or otherwise affected.
