Valsad railway block: trains cancelled and diverted August 21–23
A train station in India called Valsad is getting new and safer equipment to control trains.
The station needs a special electronic system called Electronic Interlocking.
While workers install it, some train lines around the station will be closed for a few days.
This will happen from August 21 to August 23.
Seven trains will not run at all during this time.
Other trains will stop earlier than usual, or will start from a different station.
That means passengers may need to get on or off their train at a different place.
Railway officials say some trains might also run late or have changed times.
Passengers are told to check the latest train information before they travel.
Western Railway will carry out signalling-related work at Valsad station from August 21 to 23, affecting the main railway lines in both directions.
Seven train services will be fully cancelled during the block, including services on August 22 and August 23.
Several Valsad-bound trains will be short-terminated, and some Valsad-originating services will start from stations such as Udhna, Navsari, Amalsad and Bilimora.
The Non-Interlocking block is required for the commissioning of Electronic Interlocking at Valsad station.
Some services may be regulated or rescheduled, and passengers are advised to check updates through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or helpline 139.
