Thousands Throng Chhota Pandharpur Temple on Kamika Ekadashi
Many people in India went to a temple called Chhota Pandharpur to celebrate a special holy day named Kamika Ekadashi.
This day comes right after another important holy day called Ashadhi Ekadashi.
People who could not visit the big temple town of Pandharpur on the earlier day came to this temple instead.
The temple had very long lines, and workers helped everyone enter in an orderly way.
A singer named Baliram Maharaj Aute sang a special religious song called a kirtan for two hours.
He told stories about devotion and the Warkari tradition.
In the morning, a man named Vishnu Sapkal and his wife poured holy water over the idols of Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rukmini.
After the singing, everyone was given a tasty food treat called Sabudana Khichdi.
Sadly, some bad people stole jewellery from women while the crowd was big, and the police caught a woman thief.
Thousands of devotees thronged the Vitthal-Rukmini Temple at Chhota Pandharpur in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Kamika Ekadashi.
Kamika Ekadashi is the second Ekadashi in the month of Ashad and holds special importance for devotees who could not visit Pandharpur on Ashadhi Ekadashi.
