Railway Announces Train Cancellations and Diversions for September-October 2026
Some trains will not run normally between late September and mid-October 2026.
This is because railway workers are rebuilding part of a station yard and adding a third railway line.
The KSR Bengaluru-Lal Kuan trains will be cancelled on several dates.
The Chennai-New Delhi Tamil Nadu Superfast Express will take a different route.
It will not stop at Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi during the diversion.
Another train from Thiruvananthapuram will skip Bhopal and Bina on October 13.
Two trains will leave their starting stations four or five hours late.
Three other trains may be delayed during their journeys.
Passengers should check the dates and timings before travelling.
Several long-distance trains will be cancelled, diverted, rescheduled or delayed between September 26 and October 15, 2026.
KSR Bengaluru-Lal Kuan Express services will be fully cancelled on three dates in each direction.
Tamil Nadu Superfast Express trains will be diverted through Bhopal, Maksi, Guna and Gwalior, skipping Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi.
The Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin service will skip Bhopal and Bina on October 13.
Two trains will depart four or five hours late, while three others will face journey delays of one to 90 minutes.
