South Eastern Railway announces multiple train cancellations, service changes
The railway company is doing some building and fixing work on the train tracks.
Because of this work, it has to change the train plan for a short time.
Some trains will not run at all on certain days in August.
Other trains will stop early at a different station or start from a different station.
The changes affect trains that travel between towns like Asansol, Adra, Purulia, Midnapore, and Tatanagar.
The changes only happen on a few special days, not every day.
A train that usually goes all the way to Asansol might stop at Adra instead.
The railway told everyone about the changes so passengers can plan ahead.
People who ride these trains should check the new schedule before they travel.
South Eastern Railway announced train cancellations and service changes in the Adra Division due to developmental works, on select dates in August.
Train No. 68046/68045 Asansol–Adra MEMU will be cancelled on August 13, 14 and 16, while Train No. 68090/68089 Adra–Midnapore MEMU will be cancelled on August 11, 14 and 16.
Train No. 63594/63593 Asansol–Purulia MEMU will be cancelled on August 12 and 13, and short-terminated and short-originated at Adra on August 11, 14 and 16.
Train No. 18116/18115 Chakradharpur–NSCB Gomoh MEMU Express and Train No. 18035/18036 Kharagpur–Hatia Express will be short-terminated and short-originated at Mahuda and Adra respectively on select dates.
Passengers travelling on affected routes have been advised to check revised schedules before travelling during the developmental works.
