UP native held in Kalaburagi on suspected Pak terror links
Police in India arrested a 23-year-old man named Mohammad Sameer.
He is from a state called Uttar Pradesh, but he was caught in a town called Kalaburagi.
Police say he was talking to people in another country, Pakistan, using apps called WhatsApp and Instagram.
They think those people might be terrorists, which are people who plan to hurt others.
Police looked at his phone and found videos with unkind messages about India.
Some videos showed a map where a part of India called Jammu and Kashmir was drawn as part of Pakistan.
They also found videos of guns and pistols.
Police think he might have been planning something dangerous, like trading guns illegally.
Right now, these are only what the police say in their report, and nobody has been proven guilty.
The police are still investigating, so more will be known later.
Mohammad Sameer, a 23-year-old native of Uttar Pradesh, was arrested in Kalaburagi after being found behaving suspiciously around 8:30 pm on August 12.
The FIR alleges Sameer was in continuous contact with Pakistani terror suspects Shahzad Bhatti and Abid Jat through WhatsApp and Instagram.
His phone allegedly contained anti-India videos, including maps showing Jammu and Kashmir excluded from India and depicted as part of Pakistan.
Police found he belonged to WhatsApp groups such as 'Shankita Memon', 'Jat 333' and 'Rana Bhai Group 333' and had videos of pistols and firearms.
Police suspect a possible intention involving illegal arms trade with Pakistan and a conspiracy in furtherance of terrorist acts; investigation is underway.
