Chennai Granite Businessman Arrested After POCSO Probe Closure Rejected
Police in Chennai arrested businessman R Veeramani in a case involving the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl.
Two other people, Shanthi and Mahendra Simhan, were arrested with him.
Police allege that the couple helped make the alleged offence happen.

The arrests came after investigators had earlier sought to close the case, but that request was rejected by a special POCSO court.

Police allege that Shanthi and Mahendra Simhan facilitated the alleged offence.
All three were produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody.
