UP labourer held in Kalaburagi over anti-national social media links
Police in a city called Kalaburagi in India arrested a 23-year-old man named Mohammad Sameer.
He had come to the city from a village in Uttar Pradesh to find work as a labourer.
Police noticed he was following social media accounts that shared messages against the country.
They say he was even in touch with the people who ran those accounts and encouraged their posts.
Police think some of those people might live in another country, Pakistan.
A case was registered against him under a law called the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
His mobile phone was taken by police so they can examine it carefully.
Police also questioned another person, but let him go because nothing suspicious was found about him.
The police are still investigating whom Sameer was talking to and what else he might have done.

Police allege he followed, encouraged and promoted anti-national content on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp and was in continuous contact with the accounts' handlers.
A case was registered at University Police Station under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 113(3) (terrorist act) and 197 (prejudicial to national integration).
Police said some of the suspected account handlers may be Pakistani nationals.
His mobile phone was seized for digital and forensic analysis, while a second person initially detained was released with no action taken; the case is being treated as a national security matter.
