State Revamps 105 Lakes in Rs 50 Crore Rural Makeover
The state government is improving 105 lakes in rural areas.
The work will cost nearly Rs 50 crore.
The lakes will store more water and help refill groundwater.
They are also being made nicer places for people to visit.
New features include walking paths, lights, benches, parks and outdoor gyms.
Twenty-six lakes are already finished and open to the public.

The programme aims to strengthen water resources and improve rural living standards.
Twenty-six lakes have been fully developed and opened to the public, while work continues on the rest.
Projects include stronger bunds, walking tracks, solar lighting, seating, entrance gates, children’s parks and open-air gyms.
Officials have been directed to complete the remaining works by the end of September, with quality prioritised alongside speed.
