Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Clears Rural Water and Infrastructure Projects
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet approved many development projects.
The biggest decision was to restart and reorganize thousands of rural drinking-water projects.
These projects are expected to cost about Rs 4,053.85 crore.
The Cabinet also approved several roads, a railway line and public buildings for Amaravati.
Some farmers’ requests for new land pooling were accepted.
The government announced support for poultry farms and tobacco growers.
It also approved money for a hydroelectric project and new police vehicles.
A hospital in Rajamahendravaram will double its beds from 50 to 100.
These decisions are intended to improve public services and infrastructure in the state.
The Cabinet approved revival and restructuring of 13,252 rural water works costing an estimated Rs 4,053.85 crore.
The restructuring converts 13,247 Single Village Scheme works into 7,439 schemes and covers five Multi-Village Schemes serving 334 villages.
Amaravati projects approved include the Rs 759.79-crore Amaravati Sangamam, a railway line, road extensions and fresh land pooling.
The Cabinet cleared a poultry development policy offering proposed incentives of Rs 657.18 crore from 2026 to 2029.
Other decisions covered Polavaram project payments, tobacco price support, industrial land transfers, 4,760 police vehicles and expansion of an ESI hospital.
