Manipur Police Arrest Nine Militants, Destroy IEDs
The police in Manipur, a state in India, caught nine people who were part of different rebel groups.
They found weapons, money, and documents that showed the rebels were doing bad things like kidnapping and demanding money.
The police also found bombs and safely blew them up.
A top police officer visited a historic army unit to show support.
This helps keep the area safer.
Nine militants were arrested across six districts in Manipur.
The suspects belong to KCP, PLA, RPF, NSCN‑K, and PREPAK.
Armed with a pistol, double‑barrel gun, radios, grenades and six IEDs, the militants were caught in a forest near the Myanmar border.
The IEDs were destroyed on site by the bomb disposal team.
DGP Mukesh Singh visited the 1st Battalion of the Manipur Rifles to commend the operation.
