Independence Day 2026: Minister Silawat Hoists Tricolour in Indore
Every year, India celebrates Independence Day on August 15.
This year, in 2026, the city of Indore had a big celebration.
Many people came together to show their love for their country.
A minister named Tulsiram Silawat raised the Indian flag at a special ceremony.
Soldiers and police officers marched in a big parade.
Twenty groups, like the Border Security Force and the National Cadet Corps, took part.
Children from local schools sang songs and danced on stage.

Twenty contingents, including the BSF, RAPTC, District Police, Home Guard, Traffic Police, NCC, Scouts, and Guides, presented the parade.
The celebrations were driven by the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, with the city adorned in tricolour colours.
Students from three Indore schools presented patriotic cultural performances, and a message from Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav was broadcast on an LED screen.
Awards were given to winning contingents: the BSF topped Category 'A', the District Traffic Police Force topped Category 'B', and the BSF band topped Category 'C'.
