Gujarat Begins GIS Mapping of Manufacturing MSME Units
The Gujarat Government wants to make a detailed map of small and medium-sized businesses in the state.
These businesses are called MSMEs.
The map will show where manufacturing units are located.
It will also include important information about them.
Gujarat Info Petro Limited will carry out the work.
Its authorized representatives will visit businesses and check their details.
The information will be connected to the PM Gati Shakti Portal.
Officials say this can help plan infrastructure, create policies and provide businesses with better support.
The Gujarat Government will create a GIS-based database of manufacturing MSME units across the state.
The project is being implemented under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises’ RAMP scheme.
Registered units on the Udyog Portal will be geo-tagged and mapped through the PM Gati Shakti Portal.
Gujarat Info Petro Limited has been assigned responsibility for conducting the mapping exercise.
Authorized representatives will visit units to collect and verify information, with businesses asked to cooperate.
