Cabinet Approves Three Railway Projects Across 14 Districts
India’s Cabinet approved three projects to add more railway tracks.
The projects will cost Rs 10,783 crore.
Two routes will receive a fourth railway line.
Another route will receive a third line.

The projects involve fourth-line construction on the Kharagpur-Jharsuguda and Katni-Pendra Road sections.
A third line will be built between the Bilaspur (Uslapur)-Pendra Road section.
The projects cover 14 districts across West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The work will add about 656 kilometres to the Indian Railways network and help reduce congestion.
