On India's 80th Independence Day, a big power company called NTPC held a joyful celebration at its Ramagundam site in Telangana.

The party took place at MG Stadium and began with flowers being placed before a statue of Mahatma Gandhi, a famous Indian leader.

Everyone sang the patriotic song Vande Mataram, and the national flag was raised high.

CISF guards gave the flag a special salute, followed by a parade of security staff, school students and young NCC cadets.

The plant's top officer, Mr. Chandan Kumar Samanta, gave a speech about freedom, responsibility and building the nation.

Some girls received new bicycles from the company's charity (CSR) programme as a gift.

People enjoyed cultural dances and an aero show, and prizes were given to the best performers and employees.

Later, the leaders visited Dhanwantari Hospital and gave fruits to patients there.

It was a proud and happy day for everyone who took part.
