Rain-triggered house and wall collapses kill nine across Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh in India got very heavy rain.
The rain made old, weak houses and walls fall down.
In a town called Pratapgarh, a nearly 100-year-old house collapsed in the middle of the night.
A family of seven people was sleeping inside, and one man named Aman crawled out of the rubble and called for help.
Sadly, six members of his family, including two little babies, died.
In another village called Aliyabad, a brick wall fell on children who were playing, and two of them died.
In a third place, a mud house fell on a woman, and she also died.
Altogether, nine people died because of the rain.
Police and firefighters rescued people who were trapped.
The Chief Minister of the state asked officials to make sure the affected families get help.
