Himachal CM Sukhu seeks early approval for industrial parks
India is a big country with many states, and Himachal Pradesh is one of them, up in the mountains.
The leader of Himachal Pradesh is called the Chief Minister, and his name is Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
He wants to build new industrial parks, which are special areas where factories can be built.
Factories make things people use, and they give jobs to people.
Mr. Sukhu asked the national government in New Delhi to say yes quickly to his plans.
He also wants a train line to be made longer so that factories can send their products more easily.
The meeting was led by Nirmala Sitharaman, who is in charge of money for the whole country.
The new parks would be built in two places in Himachal Pradesh.
If the parks are built, more people in Himachal Pradesh could get jobs.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu urged the Centre to grant early approval to industrial park proposals and strengthen railway connectivity.
He participated virtually from Shimla in the third meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi.
Under the first phase of the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA), the state submitted two proposals for investment-ready industrial parks with modern plug-and-play infrastructure.
The proposed parks include a 75-acre park at Beetan village in Una district (Rs 80 crore) and a 150-acre park in the Majholi industrial area at Nalagarh in Solan district (Rs 154.39 crore).
Sukhu also sought extension of the Baddi-Nalagarh railway line to reduce logistics costs, improve market access, and encourage private investment.
