Telangana Seeks Chhattisgarh NOC for Sammakka Sarakka Barrage
Telangana wants to use a large barrage to store and send water to farms.
The barrage is called the Sammakka Sagar Project, also known as the Sammakka Sarakka barrage.

Some land and houses in Chhattisgarh could be covered by water when the barrage is filled.

Telangana has paid ₹9.883 crore for backwater studies, while inter-State appraisal remains pending without Chhattisgarh’s NOC.
