The Godavari River in Mulugu district is getting very high because of heavy rain upstream.

At a place called Ramannagudem, the water is almost at the dangerous third warning level.

The district collector, Borkhade Hemant Sahadeva Rao, has put the area on high alert and told people to stay inside for a few days.

He also said that a big water project called Sammakka Sagar is getting a lot of floodwater and is letting it out through gates.

Officials are watching low‑lying villages, keeping night patrols, and readying evacuation centers with food, water, and medicine.
