Indian Leaders Pay Tribute to Udham Singh on Martyrdom Day
On July 31, Indian leaders celebrated the death anniversary of Udham Singh, a freedom fighter who killed a British officer to avenge a massacre.

State leaders Rekha Gupta (Delhi) and Yogi Adityanath (Uttar Pradesh) also paid homage, emphasizing his bravery and patriotism.
Udham Singh, born 26 December 1899 in Punjab, assassinated British officer Michael O'Dwyer in 1940 and was executed at Pentonville Prison in London.
