Telangana Cabinet To Decide GO 111 Repeal With Committee Report
High Power Committee Report on Go 111 To Be Placed Before Cabinet Soon · deccanchronicle.com

GO 111 is a rule that protects two big lakes that provide drinking water to the city of Hyderabad.

The government is thinking about changing this rule to let the city grow.

A special group of experts studied the problem and gave suggestions.

They said builders can use more land, but they must keep lots of space for trees, roads and open areas.

They think building should start slowly, in only a few villages first.

They also want pipes to keep dirty sewage away from the lakes.

Factories that pollute will still not be allowed in the area.

New buildings must clean and recycle their own water.

The leaders will talk about these ideas at their next Cabinet meeting.

This way, the city can grow while the drinking water stays safe.
