Independence Day is a special day when a country celebrates its freedom.

The government of Telangana is planning many new help schemes for this day.

It will start new pension schemes, which are regular payments for people in need.

Patients with thalassemia and sickle cell anaemia will get a new pension starting August 15.

The government will also give out smart ration cards to people.

A big insurance scheme called Indiramma is being considered, which would give families Rs 5 lakh.

About 1.60 crore families could be covered by this insurance.

The government is also giving five lakh new cooking gas connections to poor families.

That is part of the Mahalakshmi scheme, which already gives people Rs 500 off each gas cylinder.
