Governor Hosts 80th Independence Day At Home Reception in Vijayawada

On Saturday, a big celebration called the 80th Independence Day took place.

The Governor of Andhra Pradesh, S. Abdul Nazeer, and his wife Sameera Nazeer hosted a special party called an 'At Home' reception.

The party was held on the lawns of Lok Bhavan, the Governor's residence in Vijayawada.

Many important people came, including Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Chief Justice Lisa Gill.

They came with their husbands and wives.

Some other important guests included ministers, judges, police officers and meritorious students.

But one leader, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, could not attend because he had a high fever.

He went to Hyderabad to see doctors and get treatment for his shoulder.

The Governor personally welcomed each guest and greeted them warmly.

This party is a tradition the Governor holds every year on Independence Day and Republic Day.
