Collector Rajakumari Receives Red Cross Gold Medal for Services
Collector G Rajakumari received a special Red Cross Gold Medal.
Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer presented the award.
The ceremony took place in Vijayawada on Tuesday.
She was honored for improving healthcare services in Nandyal district.
These improvements included a blood storage unit and a center selling affordable medicines.
A healthcare program called ‘Mee Intiki Mee Doctor’ was also implemented.
The Red Cross received a permanent building after an old government building was renovated.
Rajakumari said more such healthcare facilities may be opened in other areas.

An old Water Resources Department building was converted into a permanent Red Cross facility in Nandyal district.
She announced plans to expand blood storage units and Janaushadhi Kendras to Dhone, Srisailam, and accident-prone highway areas.
