Naidu Commemorates 80th Independence Day, Hoists Flag in Amaravati
India has a special day called Independence Day to remember when it became free.
This year, people celebrated the 80th Independence Day.
The leader of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, raised the big Indian flag in Amaravati.
This was the first time the celebration happened in Amaravati, the state's capital.
He watched a parade with police officers, NCC student cadets and CRPF soldiers marching by.
He told everyone that freedom came from the hard work and sacrifices of many brave people.
He asked everyone to think about what they can do for their country.
He dreams that by 2047, India and Andhra Pradesh will be developed and great.
He also said that three cities will become strong places for business and growth.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu hoisted the national flag at the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Amaravati.
The event was held under the theme 'Swarnandhra-2047' at the Parade Grounds in Rayapudi, the first time Independence Day celebrations were held in Amaravati as the state capital.
Naidu said the people of Andhra Pradesh gave a massive mandate to the TDP in the 2024 elections and urged everyone to build a greater future for the nation.
He called for working toward Viksit Bharat by 2047 and Swarna Andhra, praising freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Pingali Venkayya.
He said the government's 10-point agenda and policy of decentralised development will make Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Tirupati economic powerhouses.
