Modi Begins Central Asia Tour, Emphasizes SCO Security Vision
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting two countries in Central Asia.
He will first visit Uzbekistan from August 29 to 30.
In Tashkent, he will meet President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
They will discuss trade, investment, digital connections, defence and energy.
Modi will then travel to Bishkek in the Kyrgyz Republic.
He will attend the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit there.
India wants the organisation to focus on security, connectivity and opportunity.
Modi also wants its members to work together against terrorism, separatism and extremism.
