UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026 Draws Over 200 Japanese Investors
Many important business people from Japan are coming to visit a state in India called Uttar Pradesh.
They want to see places where they can build factories and make things.
The leader of the Japanese group is a governor named Kotaro Nagasaki.
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, wants to make the state a big place for business.
The visitors will go to several cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Greater Noida and Varanasi.
They will talk about making cars, electronics, clean energy and even computer things.
Two companies, Escorts Kubota and Minda Corporation, plan to build projects worth a lot of money.
These projects could give more than 10,000 people jobs.
The government also wants to build a special 'Japanese City' for Japanese companies.
This meeting will last five days, from August 18 to 23.
More than 200 Japanese industrialists, CEOs, business representatives and policymakers will attend the UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026 from August 18 to 23.
The Japanese delegation is led by Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, and will be welcomed in New Delhi by Piyush Goyal and Yogi Adityanath.
Sessions will be held in Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Greater Noida and Varanasi, with the main state-level conference on August 21 in Lucknow.
Escorts Kubota and Minda Corporation projects worth ₹3,191 crore in YEIDA are expected to create more than 10,000 jobs.
The Yogi Government plans a dedicated 500-acre Japanese City in YEIDA as an integrated industrial base for Japanese companies.
