Electrify America’s US network passes 6,000 fast-charging ports

Electrify America has grown its US network to 6,029 fast-charging ports across 1,191 sites.

It is the country’s second-largest DC fast-charging operator, behind Tesla’s Supercharger network.

The number of ports is up 16% from a year earlier, while the number of stations rose by about 10%.

A port is not necessarily the same as a separate charging stall or plug, because some stalls have multiple ports and connectors.

Most of Electrify America’s stalls deliver up to 350 kilowatts, with some 150-kilowatt and 400-kilowatt chargers also in service.

The company’s share of US fast-charging ports was 6.7%, while ChargePoint had 6.1%, according to Paren.

Walmart’s network is much smaller overall but added more ports than any non-Tesla company in the second quarter, and it plans thousands of 400-kilowatt stalls by 2030.

Electrify America has also switched to automatic billing from users’ chosen payment methods instead of account balances.
