Hamilton says Ferrari’s Q3 wing change hurt his Singapore qualifying pace

Lewis Hamilton qualified third for the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay.

He had been quick in the first two qualifying sessions, but struggled in Q3.

Hamilton said Ferrari added a small amount of wing to try to improve the car’s performance.

The change made the car unstable, and he lost time with sudden movements in Turns 1 and 3.

He described the car as difficult to balance, with only a narrow margin between being fast and becoming hard to control.

Max Verstappen took pole, with Hamilton’s Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc also ahead of him.

The race was due to take place on Sunday, and Hamilton said starting from the right side of the grid might help.
