Indonesia wins first FIFA ASEAN Cup; court rejects challenge to Gibran's education

Indonesia won the first FIFA ASEAN Cup after beating Thailand in a penalty shootout.

The Constitutional Court dismissed a legal challenge about whether Vice President Gibran met the education rules for the 2024 election, saying the challengers had no legal standing.

The court said it found no evidence that Gibran had a high-school-equivalent diploma.

These events drew attention in Indonesia for both sport and politics.
