Bank Indonesia Says Cooperation Will Not Undermine Its Independence
Bank Indonesia says working with other institutions will not take away its independence.
It is also expanding QRIS, a system that lets people make digital payments.
The system has 67 million users and 46.7 million merchants, most of them small businesses.
The bank plans to extend QRIS services to India and Timor-Leste.
