Bulog to produce 300,000 tonnes of premium rice by December

Rice prices in Indonesia have risen, partly because less grain is available after the main harvest.

Bulog plans to produce 300,000 tonnes of premium rice by December 2026 and sell it through retailers.

The added supply is meant to help steady prices and serve shoppers not covered by government food aid.
