Low-pressure area expected over northwest Bay of Bengal
Weather experts in Andhra Pradesh, India, are watching the sea carefully.
They think a big patch of low air pressure will form over the northwest part of the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday.
Low-pressure areas often bring rain and storms.
On Wednesday, some places like Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Polavaram may get light or medium rain with thunder and lightning.
Other areas, such as Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam and Nellore, may get light rain in some spots.
On Tuesday, many places already got a lot of rain.
The town of Kailasapatnam got the most rain, about 70.7 millimeters.
The weather experts say you should be careful during storms.
Do not stand under big trees or near tall signs when it is thundering.
It is safer to stay indoors when the weather is rough.
APSDMA has warned that a low-pressure area is likely to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas by Wednesday.
The low-pressure area is developing under the influence of an upper-air cyclonic circulation.
Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely in Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Polavaram districts on Wednesday.
Scattered light rainfall is expected in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Konaseema, Nellore and Tirupati districts.
Kailasapatnam in Anakapalli district recorded the highest rainfall of 70.7 mm, followed by Rambilli with 65 mm.
