Government Launches DILRMP 3.0 for Integrated Land Records

The government has started a new programme to organise land information digitally.

It is called DILRMP 3.0.

The programme will connect records, maps and registration information.

Every piece of land will receive a 14-digit identification number called Bhu-Aadhaar.

States will build their own connected land information systems.

Some registration offices will be upgraded into easier service centres.

Old paper records will be scanned, and revenue courts will be computerised.

The government says this could help farmers get loans and reduce visits to government offices.
