Goa Governor invites PM Modi to Simhachalam temple
The Governor of Goa is a leader who helps run a state in India called Goa.
His name is Ashok Gajapathi Raju, and he also helps take care of a very old and special temple called Simhachalam.
That temple is in a city called Visakhapatnam.
He traveled to New Delhi to meet the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
He asked the Prime Minister to come and visit the temple.
He gave the Prime Minister a small model of the temple's god as a gift.
The Prime Minister said yes, he would like to visit and pray at the temple.
The Governor also met the President of India and planned to meet other important leaders.
This visit happened because the Governor had completed one year in his job.
Goa Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Simhachalam in Visakhapatnam.
The invitation came during a courtesy call on PM Modi in New Delhi on Monday, marking one year since the Governor assumed office.
Ashok Gajapathi Raju presented PM Modi a model of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy as a memento and explained the temple's spiritual significance and traditions.
PM Modi responded positively and expressed willingness to visit Simhachalam and seek the blessings of the deity.
The Governor also met President Droupadi Murmu and was scheduled to meet Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
