Heavy rainfall lashes Rajasthan; Thanagazi records 93 mm, highest

It rained a lot in many parts of the state of Rajasthan over the last day.

The rain comes with the monsoon, a rainy season that happens every year.

A town called Thanagazi, in the Alwar area, got the most rain at 93 millimeters.

Several other nearby areas, like Bharatpur, Dausa, Jhunjhunu and Churu, also got rain.

Weather experts at the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur watch the sky and tell people what is coming.

They said moderate to heavy rain is likely between August 8 and August 10.

Some places in eastern Rajasthan may even get very heavy rain.

Rain is also expected to increase in parts of the Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions.

Around August 15, the rain should start slowing down over most of Rajasthan.
