Delhi Court Frames Rape, Murder, Robbery Charges in IRS Case

A Delhi court has formally accused Rahul Meena of rape, murder and robbery.

The charges concern the death of a 22-year-old woman at her home.

Prosecutors say Meena had previously worked as a domestic helper for her family.

They allege he entered the house while her parents were away.

They also say he assaulted and strangled her and took money, jewellery and phones.

Her parents found her unconscious after returning home, and she later died in hospital.

Police arrested Meena at a hotel in Dwarka on the day of the incident.

The trial’s prosecution evidence is scheduled to begin on September 7.

These are allegations, and the court will consider evidence during the trial.
