Indore Plastic Drive Collects Waste, Distributes 4,041 Saplings
Indore held a campaign to collect single-use plastic waste.
People brought plastic and received plant saplings in return.
The campaign ran for 12 days at 15 recycling centres.
In total, 2.196 tonnes of plastic were collected.
More than 4,600 residents and 61 public representatives participated.
The organisers gave away 4,041 saplings.
At the closing event, people brought 360 kilograms of plastic and received 600 saplings.
The collected plastic was sent for recycling, and five schools were honoured for helping.
