B.L. Santosh leads Mother's Name tree plantation drive in Indore
A big leader named B.L. Santosh came to a place called Indore in India to plant trees.
He was joined by other important people like ministers and the mayor.
They were part of a special campaign called 'One Tree in Mother's Name.'
In this campaign, people plant trees to show love and respect for their mothers.
The trees were planted in a rocky area called Revati Range.
Over the last two years, people have planted about 13 lakh trees there.
That is more than one million trees!
Two years ago, a team planted over 12 lakh trees in just one day.
That was so amazing that Guinness World Records gave them an award.
The city is now making sure the trees are watered and protected so they can grow into a big green forest.
BJP National General Secretary B.L. Santosh led a tree plantation drive at Revati Range in Indore under the 'One Tree in Mother's Name' campaign.
About 13.10 lakh trees have been raised at a single location in Revati Range over the past two years.
On July 13-14, 2024, 12,41,017 trees were planted within 24 hours, earning a Guinness World Record for most trees planted by a single team in 24 hours.
The Indore Municipal Corporation received a Certificate of Record from the Asia Book of Records and is responsible for the plantation's protection, irrigation and monitoring.
Ministers Kailash Vijayvargiya and Tulsi Silawat, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLAs Ramesh Mendola and Mahendra Hardiya, and BJP city president Sumit Mishra attended the programme.
