Ratlam Road Deaths Rise 29% as 171 Die

Ratlam district saw more road crashes in the first part of 2026 than in the same period last year.

There were 920 crashes and 171 deaths by July 2026.

Last year, there were 757 crashes and 133 deaths.

A speeding truck hit Jagannath Chaudhary near Jaora Chowpatty.

Two other people died in a separate car and trailer crash near Rattagiri.

Officials are worried that highways are becoming less safe.

They also say growing traffic may be adding pressure to major roads.

Police have been told to check vehicles and watch the highways more closely.
